Ogun State Approves 450 Housing Units and More

The Ogun State Executive Council, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, has approved several infrastructure projects, including the construction of 450 two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows and 28 official quarters for members of the Ogun State House of Assembly. Additionally, the council sanctioned the reconstruction of the Ogun State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja and the rehabilitation of key roads across the state.

The roads targeted for reconstruction include the Okun-Owa–Ijebu-Ode Road, Ago-Iwoye–Ijebu-Igbo–Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road, Phase One of the Odeda-Olugbo Road, Ayobo (Mopol Junction)–Lafenwa Junction Road, and Agbala Road in Iperu. The council also approved the upgrading of traditional chieftaincies, including the Akoko of Tongeji Island and the Onitafin of Orile Itafin.

Kayode Akinmade, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, emphasized that these initiatives reflect the administration's commitment to infrastructure development and governance enhancement.
