Ogun State Approves Major Infrastructure and Chieftaincy Projects

The Ogun State Executive Council, under Governor Dapo Abiodun, has approved a series of strategic infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the state's development. Key initiatives include the construction of 450 two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, 28 new official quarters for the Ogun State House of Assembly, and the reconstruction of the Ogun State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

Additionally, several major roads across the three senatorial districts will be rehabilitated, including the Okun-Owa–Ijebu-Ode Road, the Ago-Iwoye–Ijebu-Igbo–Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road, and others, to improve connectivity and economic activities. The Council also recognized and upgraded traditional stools, including the Akoko of Tongeji Island and the Onitafin of Orile Itafin, as part of efforts to strengthen traditional institutions.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, stated that these approvals reflect the administration's commitment to infrastructural transformation and institutional reforms.
