Imala Residents Urge Governor Abiodun to Repair Road

Residents of Imala, located in the Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, have made a renewed appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun to reconstruct a 7.5-kilometer road connecting their community to Abeokuta, the state capital. This appeal was articulated in a statement signed by Steven Adetomiwa, the Imala Development Coordinator, and shared with journalists in Abeokuta on Monday.

The community has expressed frustration over the poor condition of the road, which has persisted for years, severely impacting their socio-economic development and causing significant hardship, particularly during the rainy season. The residents have previously requested the road's reconstruction without receiving a response.

They highlighted the importance of this infrastructure for alleviating their suffering and enhancing their economic prospects. The appeal also included appreciation for the governor's past efforts and a hope for continued infrastructural development in the region, reminiscent of the initiatives by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
