Ogun Community Leader Seeks Justice Over False Charges

Chief Abiodun Gbadamosi, a community leader from Obada Oko in Ewekoro Local Government Area, has called on Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun to intervene in his case involving alleged false charges, including armed robbery and threats to life stemming from a land dispute. Gbadamosi accuses traditional ruler Oba Abiodun Solaja of trespassing and intimidating his family regarding land ownership since September 2021.

He claims that during a dispute, Solaja's brother, Dotun Solaja, attacked Lekan Jogunomi with a machete, but Gbadamosi asserts that these allegations are baseless. The Ogun State High Court, presided over by Justice Babawal, discharged Gbadamosi of four counts on July 1, 2025.

However, efforts to prosecute Oba Solaja for related offenses have stalled. Gbadamosi has reported ongoing intimidation and insecurity, prompting him to speak to the media.

The Ogun State Attorney General's office has not provided legal advice regarding the prosecution of the Solajas.
