Ogun CP Disburses N30.5m to Families of Fallen Heroes

On April 2, 2026, Ogun State Police Commissioner Bode Ojaijuni disbursed a total of N30,552,851 to the families of 16 police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. This event took place at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, as part of the ongoing National Police Week celebrations.

The disbursement was made on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tunji Disu, as stated by the Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi. The initiative aims to honor the sacrifices made by police officers who paid the ultimate price while safeguarding lives and property across the country.

The financial support is intended to reassure the bereaved families and reinforce the enduring bond between the police force and the families of its fallen officers.
