Ogun Governor and Nollywood Stars Honor Taiwo Hassan

On Monday, a gathering at the Agunloye Ashade Pavilion in Ilaro, Ogun State, saw Governor Dapo Abiodun, TAMPAN President Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), and other Nollywood actors, including Yinka Quadri, pay their respects to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who died from cancer on Sunday. During the Muslim prayers, Abiodun, represented by Commissioner for Youth and Sports Wasiu Isiaka, described Ogogo as an exceptional theatre practitioner and a proud Yoruba man.

He expressed sorrow over Ogogo's passing and encouraged his children to find solace in their faith. Amusan referred to Ogogo as a gentleman of reputable character and urged his family to keep his legacy alive.

Sheikh Iskeel Lawal, during the janazah prayer, emphasized the inevitability of death and encouraged unity among theatre practitioners. The event highlighted Ogogo's significant contributions to the entertainment industry and the impact of his loss.
