Ogun Monarch Denies Zoning of Ogun West Senatorial Seat

Oba Olusola Lamidi Osolo, the traditional ruler of Ado Odo in Ogun State, issued a statement clarifying that reports claiming the zoning of the Ogun West senatorial seat to the Awori traditional rulers are false. The statement, released from the palace secretariat by Akinsola Nasir, stressed that there was no political office zoned during a recent meeting held at the Olota Palace.

The monarch noted that the discussions focused on the political future of the local government and did not include any mention of zoning the senatorial seat for Ado Odo-Igbesa state constituency. He urged the traditional council to advocate for fair representation for the Awori people, emphasizing the importance of consensus-building and cautioning against premature conclusions that could create unnecessary tension among stakeholders.

The Oba reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and the preservation of traditional institutions, urging the public and media to disregard unverified information.
