Ogun Monarch to Establish Foundation in Wife's Memory

Oba Babatunde Ajayi, the paramount ruler of Remoland, disclosed plans to establish a foundation at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) in memory of his late wife, Dr. Linga Ajayi.

This announcement was made during the inauguration of the Dr. David Mada Secretariat on Thursday in Sagamu.

The foundation aims to honor Dr. Linga Ajayi's legacy in medical service, as she was a consultant surgeon trained at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland and served at Lagos University Teaching Hospital until her passing in February 2018.

The project is intended to continue her commitment to healthcare training. The event also recognized the leadership of Dr.

Bunmi Fatungas, the Chief Medical Director of OOUTH. The foundation's establishment is part of a broader initiative to enhance public-private healthcare collaboration in Ogun State, as emphasized by Dr.

Tomi Coker, the state commissioner for health.
