Ogun State Launches 6,000th Manufacturing Factory

Ogun State has opened a new factory operated by Summit Household Solutions Limited, which represents the 6,000th manufacturing industry in the state. The factory, located in Ota, is expected to commence operations in April 2025 and will specialize in home and personal care products, including dishwashing liquid and handwash.

The facility has an estimated annual production capacity of 7,000 tons and has already created 50 jobs, with projections to generate an additional 250 jobs as operations scale up. The event was attended by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by Kehind Akintomi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Investment.

The governor emphasized the importance of this investment as a vote of confidence in Ogun State's industrial ecosystem, which aims to boost local production and reduce import dependence. Sadiq Ali, the General Manager of Summit Household Solutions Limited, highlighted the company's commitment to delivering affordable and effective hygiene solutions.
