ROMO Chairman Denies Threatening APC Ward Secretary

Rasaq Shotayo, the Chairman of the Road Transport Owners Association (ROMO) in Ogun State, refuted allegations circulating on social media that he threatened Aleshinloy Owolabi, the APC Ward Secretary for Iju Ward in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area. In a statement made on Saturday, Shotayo described the claims as false and misleading, asserting that they misrepresented his remarks made during a recent ward meeting.

He explained that his comments were intended to address the declining activity and leadership issues within the APC at the ward level, not to threaten anyone's life. Shotayo emphasized that the viral video did not capture the full context of his statements and reiterated that he has never issued threats, either directly or indirectly.

He called for accountability within the party structure and encouraged peaceful engagement among members, urging the public to disregard what he termed a calculated attempt to tarnish his image.
