Ogun State to Empower 100,000 Residents with Cash Aid

On Friday, during the official opening of the first session of the 15th Synod of the Remo Anglican Diocese at Saviour's Anglican Church in Ikenne, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun announced a plan to empower 100,000 residents through a monthly cash intervention scheme. This initiative, part of the Renew Hope Ward Development Programme (RHWD), aims to provide financial assistance to 50,000 to 100,000 residents across Ogun State within the next year.

Governor Abiodun emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and the church in fostering peace and societal progress. He praised the church's role in moral and social development and encouraged active participation in the democratic process.

The governor also highlighted significant infrastructure projects, including the Gateway International Airport, which he described as a catalyst for economic growth and investment in the state. He noted that the current political climate in Ogun State is significantly more peaceful compared to seven years ago.
