Solomon Adeola Picks APC Nomination Forms for Ogun Governorship

Solomon Adeola, a lawmaker representing the Ogun West Senatorial District, has taken a significant step towards the 2027 Ogun State governorship election by obtaining the APC governorship nomination forms, which are valued at N50 million. This action signals his official entry into the race.

The forms were collected on his behalf on Tuesday from the APC national headquarters in Abuja by Suleiman Argungu, who expressed Adeola's interest in the nomination. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and national assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while the governorship and state assembly elections are set for February 6, 2027.

Additionally, INEC announced that party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, will take place between April 23 and May 30, 2026. Campaigns for the presidential and national assembly elections will commence on August 19, 2026, while those for the governorship and state assembly elections will begin on September 9, 2026.
