Solomon Adeola Secures APC Governorship Form for 2027

Solomon Adeola, widely recognized as Yayi, has taken a significant step in his political career by obtaining the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form for the upcoming 2027 Ogun State elections. The form, which costs N50 million, was acquired on his behalf as he signals his entry into the race for the state's top political position.

The APC's national organizing secretary, Suleiman Argungu, announced the opening of the nomination process on Tuesday in Abuja. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and national assembly elections for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while the governorship and state assembly elections are set for Saturday, February 6, 2027.

The party primaries, which will address any disputes, are planned for April 23, 2026, and May 30, 2026. Campaign activities for the presidential and national assembly elections will commence on August 19, 2026, with the governorship and state assembly elections starting on September 9, 2026.
