Ogungbesan Threatens Legal Action Over Resignation Reports

Adesoji Ogungbesan, the former Acting Executive Director of the Nigerian Security Printing Mint Company (NSPMC), has threatened legal action against online reports concerning his resignation from the organization. Ogungbesan aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding his departure, which he claims have been inaccurately reported.

He joined NSPMC in February 2024 and left the public sector after a formal interview process involving senior officials from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). During his tenure, he implemented several initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, including the deployment of ERP software and reforms in cost management.

Ogungbesan resigned in early February 2026 following a management restructuring exercise and submitted a formal acknowledgment of his resignation. He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and hopes that the initiatives he introduced will contribute to the organization's future improvements.

However, he seeks legal redress to protect his professional reputation against what he believes to be misrepresentations.
