OK Movement Declares Independence from NDC Structure

The OK Movement, represented by its Director-General John Ughulu, has firmly stated it will not surrender its organizational structure to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). This declaration follows remarks by NDC National Leader Senator Seriake Dickson, who suggested that support groups should complement party structures rather than operate as rivals.

Ughulu emphasized that the OK Movement is not merely a support group but an independent political organization with its own established mechanisms. He acknowledged Dickson's viewpoint but argued that the identity of the OK Movement must be clearly defined, distinguishing it from other support movements.

Ughulu also rejected Dickson's characterization of the movement's campaign council as "nonsensical," asserting that the OK Movement includes members from various political parties united in support of NDC presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso. He reiterated that the movement will maintain its independence and internal administration, asserting that cooperation with the NDC does not imply subordination.
