Arthur Okonkwo Extends West Brom Contract Until 2028

Arthur Okonkwo, the 20-year-old goalkeeper, has extended his contract with West Bromwich Albion for an additional two years, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028. Okonkwo began his football career at Arsenal's Hale End academy and joined West Brom on a one-year deal last summer after a successful trial period.

During his time with the U21 side, he made 17 appearances across competitions, playing a pivotal role in helping the team reach the latter rounds of the Premier League Cup. His performance included crucial saves that aided the young professionals in competing against high-caliber opposition.

Richard Stevens, West Brom's academy manager, expressed confidence in Okonkwo's progress, while Phil Smart, the head of the academy, noted the importance of developing goalkeepers. Okonkwo's new deal was announced alongside contract extensions for three other West Brom youngsters, including Jamal Moham and Ben Ciss.
