Edo Governor Okpebholo Commits to Road Project Funding

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo assured that his administration will continue to fund and support contractors working on road projects across the state, aiming for significant progress before Christmas. This statement was made after inspecting the Arue-Uromi-Agbor road projects in the Esan North-East Local Government Area.

Okpebholo acknowledged the challenges posed by the rainy season, which has limited construction activities, focusing efforts on drainage works. He stated that the government would release funds to contractors as they become available, emphasizing the administration's commitment to providing necessary resources.

Michel Aoy, the Area Manager of Setraco Nigeria Limited, mentioned that the Irrua-Uromi bypass road would feature a width of nine meters on each side, with a concrete barrier and street lighting. He noted that securing the right of way for the 18.6-meter road and a drainage corridor of about 20 meters has been challenging, but progress is being made on drainage execution.
