Nigeria Police Appoints Ali Giwa as New Media Officer

On a recent date, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent Ali Giwa as the new Force New Media Officer for the Nigeria Police Force. This role is part of a newly created media office at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, which is expected to strengthen the Nigeria Police Force's digital communication strategy and improve public awareness of police operations.

Ali Giwa brings 15 years of experience in law enforcement, public order management, and cybersecurity, currently serving as a cybersecurity specialist at the Nigeria Police Force's National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja. His previous positions include roles within the police's public relations office and as an assistant to the Deputy Inspector General of Police in the logistics and supply department.

The appointment follows the recent approval of Anthony Okon Placid as the new Force Public Relations Officer, who has extensive experience in administration and operations.
