Kwara Governor's Popularity Declines Amid Criticism

Toyin Olosasa has expressed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's performance since taking office in 2019 has not met the expectations of the people of Kwara State. He argues that the governor's declining popularity could adversely affect the All Progressives Congress (APC) in upcoming elections.

Olosasa suggests that AbdulRazaq should contest a councillorship position in Adewol Ward against Yinka Otukoko of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to gauge public sentiment. He highlights the strained relationships between the governor and various stakeholders, including traditional rulers and youth groups, particularly in Ilorin.

Olosasa also notes that the governor's claims of suspension from the APC are unfounded and that the party's internal dynamics are deteriorating. He emphasizes that the current political climate in Kwara State is serious, with many citizens longing for a return to the political structure established by the Saraki family, which they believe could restore stability and governance.
