Olubadan Distributes Food Gifts to 5,000 Residents

On Saturday, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, distributed food packages to 5,000 residents of Ibadan as part of a Ramadan and Lenten initiative. The beneficiaries received cash and food items including rice, beans, semovita, garri, maize, and noodles.

This charitable act is significant as it is the first time in 20 years that such a gesture has been made since Oba Ladoja ascended the throne. The Olubadan's motivation behind this distribution is to give back to the community, reflecting the teachings of the Quran and the Bible during these holy periods.

Olori Rashidat Ladoja, the paramount's wife, has been involved in similar charitable efforts over the years. Last year, the Olubadan also distributed food to 5,000 people without any reported casualties or conflicts, highlighting his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people.
