Oluwo Urges Unity Against Insecurity in Nigeria

Oluwo, Oba Abdulroshe Akanbi, praised the rescue of abducted teachers and pupils in Oriir Local Government, Oyo State, and cautioned against the politicization of insecurity. He called on politicians from all parties, including APC, PDP, NDC, AAC, and Labour Party, to support the federal government's efforts in tackling insecurity rather than using it for political gain.

In a statement issued by his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem Akanbi, he expressed hope that Nigeria would overcome its security challenges through collective action. He criticized politicians for demonstrating immaturity and insensitivity by politicizing insecurity, noting that banditry does not recognize ethnic or political affiliations.

He urged all political actors to prioritize national security over partisan interests, emphasizing that the fight against insecurity requires cooperation from all stakeholders, including opposition leaders. Oluwo expressed confidence that Yorubaland would resist criminal activities and warned that any further attacks would be met with aggression.
