Ooni Praises Tinubu for Successful Rescue of Abducted Students

Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi praised President Bola Tinubu and Nigerian security agencies for their successful operation that led to the rescue of schoolchildren and teachers abducted from Oriir School in Oyo State. In a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Media and Public Affairs at the Ooni's Palace, Moses Olafar, the Ooni described the release of the victims after 56 days in captivity as a major relief for families.

He acknowledged the commitment of the federal government to protect lives and property across the country and commended the bravery and dedication of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies involved in the operation. The Ooni urged security agencies and relevant authorities to sustain efforts to prevent future attacks, particularly in vulnerable communities, and highlighted the importance of intelligence gathering and collaboration with traditional institutions to address security challenges in Nigeria.
