Eve Muirhead Returns to Curling After Retirement Reversal

Eve Muirhead, a 36-year-old Olympic gold medallist, has announced her return to competitive curling after a four-year hiatus. Muirhead, who previously stepped away from the sport following her gold medal win at the Beijing Olympics, cited her experience as Team GB’s chef de mission at the Milan-Cortina Games in February as a significant motivator for her comeback.

She expressed that this role rekindled emotions she had not felt in a long time. Muirhead will partner with two-time Olympic silver medallist Bobby Lammie in mixed doubles this season, with aspirations to compete at the Alpes 2030 Games.
