In a commanding performance, Gift Mondai scored a brace to lead the Super Falcons to a 3-0 victory over Senegal, concluding the two-legged encounter with a 5-1 aggregate score. The match took place as Nigeria prepares for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from July 25 to August 16 in Morocco.

Coach Justin Madugu made five changes to the starting lineup, including goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi and striker Gift Mondai. The Falcons started strong, with captain Rasheedat Ajibade creating early opportunities.

After a goalless first half, Nigeria broke the deadlock in the 48th minute when Shukurat Oladipo delivered a precise cross that Mondai converted with a powerful header. Mondai doubled the lead in the 55th minute, showcasing composure against Senegal's defense.

Asisat Oshoala, who replaced Mondai, sealed the victory in the 66th minute, solidifying Nigeria's momentum ahead of the continental tournament.
