Fadola Alleges Candidate Imposition in Ondo APC Primaries

Emmanuel Fadola, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has raised concerns regarding candidate imposition during the party's recent primaries. He described the conduct of certain individuals as authoritarian and alleged that there was a plot to impose candidates on party members.

Fadola appealed to party members to accept the National Working Committee's (NWC) recent decisions, emphasizing the need for intervention due to the irregularities observed during the primaries. He noted that the manner in which the primaries were conducted was deeply unsatisfactory and compared it to the 2024 governorship primaries.

Fadola stated that the party's integrity was at stake, as evidenced by the overwhelming support for Hon. Festus Akingbaso, who had significant backing from the people of Idanr Ifedor. He criticized the declaration of a winner less than 24 hours after the primaries and the subsequent disqualification of an aspirant, calling for a more democratic process within the party.
