Ondo Landlord's Son Arrested for Tenant's Wife Murder

On February 26, 2026, Kazeem Aw, a 27-year-old man, was arrested by the Ondo State Police Command in connection with the murder of Motunrayo Adeley, a nurse and mother. The incident occurred in the Daystar area of Alaba, Odigbo Local Government Area, during a dispute over house rent.

Reports indicate that Kazeem allegedly attacked three tenants, inflicting multiple stab wounds on Motunrayo, who was later confirmed dead by medical personnel at a general hospital. Two other victims are currently receiving treatment.

The police, led by DSP Abayomi Jimoh, recovered a blood-stained cutlass believed to have been used in the attack. The violence reportedly stemmed from a lingering disagreement over rent payments, which escalated when Kazeem confronted the couple, armed with a knife and cutlass.

The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
