Ondo Landlady Arrested for Allegedly Poisoning Tenant's Son in Odigbo

In a disturbing crime, a 40-year-old woman named Nafisat Lateef was arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly poisoning the 3-year-old son of her tenant, Omifon, in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. The victim's mother, Rofiat, identified Lateef as the suspect who gave her son a liquid substance that led to the child vomiting and requiring immediate medical attention.

The incident took place on February 4, 2026, at 8:30 am, after an argument between the suspect and the victim's family. The police swiftly conducted an intelligence-led operation that led to Lateef's arrest.

She is currently in police custody and has made a statement regarding the incident. Investigations are ongoing, and the police have recovered the liquid substance believed to be the poison.
