Ondo Police Arrest 21-Year-Old for Rape and Murder

The Ondo State Police Command arrested a 21-year-old man named Alabi Anthoni for the rape and murder of an elderly woman, Olaseni Veronica, in the Iboropa Akoko area. The incident occurred on Friday, and the police launched an investigation after receiving credible intelligence.

The investigation led to the discovery of the victim's missing phone, which was instrumental in tracking down the suspect. Upon arrest, Alabi Anthoni confessed to the crime, admitting to having carnal knowledge of the victim and subsequently strangling her to death.
