Ondo Man Allegedly Beats Father to Death in Dispute

On May 28, 2026, in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area, Ondo State, a dispute escalated into a violent altercation between 38-year-old Nsikak Kingslei and his 65-year-old father, Adon Peter. During the confrontation, Kingslei allegedly assaulted his father, resulting in severe injuries, particularly to the head.

Despite being rushed to a medical facility for urgent attention, Adon Peter was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Following the incident, a complaint was lodged by the victim's brother at a nearby police station, prompting the Ondo State Police Command to apprehend Nsikak Kingslei.

The police spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the arrest, while the command's leadership, led by Felix Ohagwu, is overseeing the investigation into this tragic case, which has generated widespread concern among local residents.
