Man Stabs Father to Death Over Property Dispute in Rivers

On Saturday morning, a man allegedly stabbed his father, retired pilot David Nwoke, to death in the Rumupekirikom area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The incident occurred following a dispute regarding the sale of property, which reportedly involved allegations of misconduct by the deceased's children.

Neighbors raised the alarm after witnessing the brutal attack, prompting a response from security personnel. Upon arrival, they found Nwoke lying in a pool of blood.

The suspect was arrested at the scene, and the victim's body was evacuated to the morgue under police supervision. Sources indicated that the young man had a history of violent behavior towards his father and had harassed him on several occasions.

The attack was described as premeditated rather than accidental, as the suspect allegedly followed and stabbed his father multiple times. The Rivers State Police Command, represented by ASP Bless Kaborlo Agab, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing to ensure justice is served.
