Father Seeks Aid After Siblings Found Dead in Ondo

Samuel Jonah, the father of three siblings—Joshua (11), Jacob (11), and Blessing (5)—who were found dead on a farm near the Owena Army Barracks in Akure, Ondo State, has appealed for financial assistance from the Federal Government and the Ondo State Government to facilitate his relocation to his hometown in Benue State. The children's bodies were discovered on September 5, after they had accompanied their father to the farm the previous day.

Following the tragedy, Jonah expressed emotional distress and a lack of motivation to continue his farming activities. He stated that he no longer wishes to remain in Akure due to uncertainties surrounding the circumstances of his children's deaths and fears for his family's safety.

Jonah estimated that relocating would cost at least N1 million. He confirmed that the children had been buried at the barracks and that the Ondo State Police, represented by Public Relations Officer Abayomi Jimoh, is investigating the incident, though no details on the investigation's outcome have been disclosed.
