Ondo State Adopts Niger Delta Games Scouting Framework to Develop Athletic Talent

Ondo State has embraced the Niger Delta Games Scouting Framework to enhance talent discovery and development in sports. The state's Commission of Sports, led by Hon.

Segun Omoyofunmi, has initiated a rigorous selection process involving trials across local government areas. The aim is to identify and groom athletes for participation in the Niger Delta Games scheduled to take place in Edo State from February 20 to 27.

The recent screening held at the Ondo City Stadium featured 400 athletes competing in various disciplines like boxing, table tennis, and volleyball. Ondo State is determined to continue investing in talent scouting and coaching to ensure a strong representation at regional sporting events.
