One Dead, Three Injured in Lagos Auto Crash Incident

A tragic auto crash in Lagos resulted in one fatality and three injuries. The incident involved a truck with registration number AGL 764 XB, which reportedly attempted a U-turn at a traffic light near Aiyetoro Junction.

The driver lost control, causing the truck to veer off and crash into a stationary commercial tricycle marked SMK 127 QR. Mr.

Olalekan Bakar Oki, the General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), confirmed the incident. Preliminary findings indicated that the truck was coming from Ijebu Ode and heading towards Eleko when the crash occurred.

The collision claimed one life and left three occupants of the tricycle with severe injuries. LASTMA officials, alongside the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigeria Police Force, responded promptly to the scene.

The injured victims were successfully extricated from the wreckage and transported to a general hospital for medical attention. Bakar Oki urged relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash to ensure justice for those found culpable.
