Fatal Crash on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Claims One Life

On Tuesday morning, a fatal road crash occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in one death and two injuries. The accident took place near the Lenuwa U-turn when a truck, registered as FUN 552 XA and carrying grain and goats, lost control and fell onto its side.

Eyewitnesses reported that the crash was caused by excessive speed. The Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed that three adult males were involved in the incident, with one confirmed dead and two sustaining injuries.

The injured victims were transported to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, while the deceased was taken to Idera Hospital's morgue in Sagamu. Following the accident, traffic flow was partially disrupted, prompting a joint effort by officials and police to restore normalcy in the area.
