Four Dead, Eight Injured in Ogun Traffic Accident

A tragic accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to eight others. The incident involved a Toyota Hiace bus with the registration number AGL789YL.

According to a statement from the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Afolabi, the cause of the accident was attributed to a violation of speed limits, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The injured victims were immediately evacuated to Famobi Hospital for urgent medical attention, while the deceased were taken to the Idara Morgue.

The Ogun State Traffic Division has taken custody of the crash vehicle and is recovering the property and luggage belonging to the passengers. Akinwunmi Fasakin, of the Ogun State Police, expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and reminded motorists to adhere strictly to speed limits and ensure their vehicles are in good condition.
