Cult Clash in Kwara Market Leaves One Dead

A violent clash between rival cult groups at Kwara Market resulted in the death of one individual, triggering chaos among traders, motorists, and passersby. The incident unfolded shortly after noon, with gunfire causing panic and leading people to flee in various directions to avoid being caught in the crossfire.

Witnesses reported seeing a body lying in a pool of blood, with a firearm nearby when police arrived at the scene. The Kwara State Police, led by Public Relations Officer Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations were underway.

During the police operation, a suspect dressed in white native attire was apprehended and taken to the divisional police station at Oja Oba. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, and the police are working to ensure justice is served following this violent outbreak.
