Wike Claims Only Tinubu Can Question His Political Moves

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated that only President Bola Tinubu has the authority to question him regarding his political activities. This declaration was made during an appearance on Arise TV’s Prime Time on a Tuesday night, where Wike responded to criticisms from governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) concerning his rainbow coalition.

He accused these governors of prioritizing politics in Abuja over building support in their respective states. Wike emphasized that effective leadership involves being close to the people and addressing local political differences rather than blaming others for electoral challenges.

He remarked, “The only person that can question me is the President,” and asserted that true political engagement is local. Wike criticized some politicians for spending excessive time in Abuja while neglecting their constituents, stating that genuine service requires leaders to unite people for the state's benefit rather than pursuing personal interests.
