Opeyemi Famakin Claps Back at Yhemo Lee, Challenges Body Shaming Hypocrisy

Nigerian food critic Opeyemi Famakin has retaliated against social media figure Yhemo Lee's derogatory remarks, showcasing that he is not the "fat fool" he was labeled as. Famakin's response came after a video circulated online where Lee insulted him.

The feud began when Famakin praised a perfume priced at 160,000 naira, leading Lee to criticize the product's quality and packaging. This triggered a backlash, with Lee resorting to personal insults, including body shaming.

Famakin highlighted the contradiction in Nigerian society's stance on body shaming and the tendency to abandon principles when emotions are involved. In a recent video, Famakin visited Item 7 in Ibadan, where he critiqued the food, rating the fried rice 3/5 and the jollof rice 5/5.

He concluded his overall restaurant experience with a rating of 5.2/10.
