APC Spokesman: Opposition Can't Split Tinubu's Votes

The APC spokesman stated that opposition candidates do not have the capacity to split President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's votes in the South. He highlighted the successful completion of the candidate submission process for various positions ahead of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline.

The spokesman acknowledged the competitive nature of primary elections, noting that some party members may feel disappointed if they do not win. He assured that the APC has established mechanisms to address such grievances, with standing committees reaching out to disappointed aspirants.

The spokesman emphasized the importance of party unity, urging members to prioritize the party's interests over personal ambitions. He explained that the primary election process involves several stages, including the sale of forms, vetting, screening, and appeals, with the National Working Committee (NWC) responsible for ensuring compliance with party guidelines and the Electoral Act.
