Oyo Commission Seeks Public Input on Oriire Abduction

The Judicial Commission of Enquiry established by the Oyo State Government is investigating the circumstances surrounding the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire. The Commission, through its Secretary, Mrs.

Olamide Sandra Tella, has called for written memoranda from the public containing relevant information, facts, evidence, or materials related to the abduction. The requested information should cover the circumstances leading to the incident, the abduction itself, and the security situation before, during, and after the event.

Additionally, the Commission seeks details on any acts or omissions that may have contributed to the occurrence, responses from relevant authorities, and recommendations for preventing similar incidents. Submissions must include full names, contact details, and any supporting documents.

All memoranda should be addressed to the Secretary of the Judicial Commission and submitted by August 14, 2026, either physically at the Commission’s Secretariat in Ibadan or via email.
