GMI Commends Tinubu for Successful Rescue Operation

The Grassroots Mobilisation Initiative (GMI) commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security agents for their successful operation in rescuing abducted students and a teacher in Orire, Oyo State. In a statement issued on Monday, GMI's coordinator, Samaila Musa, praised the strategic leadership provided by President Tinubu, which enabled security agencies to carry out the operation effectively.

Musa expressed appreciation for the national security adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Chief of Defence Staff General Christoph Musa for their leadership and oversight during the rescue operation. The GMI emphasized the importance of maintaining operational confidentiality and urged stakeholders to avoid politicizing security matters, as this could endanger lives.

Musa called on Nigerians to embrace a non-partisan approach, especially when human lives are at stake, and acknowledged the administration's success in addressing the challenges posed by banditry and terrorism. The GMI reaffirmed its support for the federal government's armed forces in their ongoing efforts to secure the nation and congratulated the families of the rescued individuals.
