Super Falcons Announce Squad for Senegal Friendlies

The Nigeria Football Federation announced the 23-woman squad for the Super Falcons, led by head coach Justin Madugu, for upcoming friendly matches against Senegal. The matches are scheduled to take place on June 6 and June 8, 2023, at the Remo Star Sport Complex in Ogun State.

Key players in the squad include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forward Asisat Oshoala. Madugu has also included experienced midfielder Ngozi Okobi Okeoghene and forward Francisca Ordega.

Other notable players are Bless Nkor, Kafayat Shittu, and Halimatu Ayind. The friendlies serve as preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will occur from July 25 to August 16, 2026.

Senegal will compete in Group C alongside Morocco, Algeria, Kenya, and Nigeria, the ten-time African champions.
