Osimhen Aims for Quick Return After Successful Surgery

Victor Osimhen, a 27-year-old striker for Galatasaray, successfully underwent arm surgery on Monday at Maslak Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul following an injury sustained during a UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool FC at Anfield. The procedure was confirmed successful, and Osimhen was discharged on Tuesday.

Club medical staff estimate a recovery timeline of around six weeks, which means he will miss six matches across domestic competitions. However, he remains cautiously optimistic about returning in time for the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26, a fixture that could be pivotal in the title race.

Currently, Galatasaray sits four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand. Osimhen has been a central figure in Galatasaray's title charge this season, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 29 appearances, including seven goals and three assists in 10 Champions League outings.
