Osimhen Aims for Quick Return to Boost Galatasaray Title Bid

Victor Osimhen, a 27-year-old striker for Galatasaray, is currently recovering from successful arm surgery performed on Monday at Maslak Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul. He sustained the injury during a UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool FC at Anfield the previous week.

Following the surgery, Osimhen was discharged on Tuesday, and reports indicate he is expected to be sidelined for approximately six weeks, missing six matches in total. However, Turkish media suggest he may return in time for the crucial Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26, depending on his rehabilitation progress.

Galatasaray currently leads the league table by four points, and Osimhen is confident that he can help the team secure their 26th Super Lig title upon his return. Club president Dursun Zbek has expressed optimism regarding Osimhen's return for the final two league matches against Antalyaspor at home and Kasımpaşa away, as well as the ongoing Turkish Cup quarter-final match against Gençlerbirliği.

This season, Osimhen has scored 19 goals and provided seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
