Osimhen's Return to Galatasaray Doubtful Due to Injury

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian international striker for Galatasaray, is doubtful to return to action today due to a fractured right forearm he sustained during the first half of a UEFA Champions League encounter against Liverpool on March 18. Initially expected to feature in the Turkish Super Lig clash against Genclerbirligi last weekend, Osimhen was not included in the squad by coach Okan Buruk.

Reports indicate that Osimhen's absence was a strategic decision by Buruk, as Galatasaray struggled without their marquee central forward, failing to win against Trabzonspor and Kocaelispor. Despite his injury setback, Osimhen has made smooth recovery progress and participated in eight training sessions.

However, he will not play in the Turkish Cup match against Genclerbirligi today, but is anticipated to start in the first eleven against Fenerbahce in their upcoming derby.
