Osimhen Faces Surgery After Arm Fracture in Loss

Victor Osimhen faced a critical decision regarding potential surgery after suffering an arm fracture during Galatasaray's UEFA Champions League defeat to Liverpool FC on Wednesday night, which ended 4-0 at Anfield, resulting in a 4-1 aggregate loss. Osimhen was forced off the pitch at halftime due to the injury sustained early in the match while challenging Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate.

The Turkish club confirmed the severity of the injury in a statement. Despite the injury, Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk expressed a desire to keep the Nigerian forward on the pitch but ultimately had to withdraw him.

Buruk also criticized the officiating during the match, acknowledging that his side was second best against Liverpool.
