Osimhen to Undergo Surgery for Arm Fracture After Match

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Galatasaray, is set to undergo surgery following a fractured right forearm sustained during the club's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg on Wednesday. The injury was diagnosed after a hospital examination revealed the fracture, which occurred early in the match when Osimhen collided with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté during an aerial duel.

Despite visible pain, Osimhen continued to play in the first half with his arm wrapped in a bandage but did not return for the second half due to the risk of further injury. Galatasaray confirmed that Osimhen's arm is now in a cast, and a decision regarding surgery will be made after further evaluation.

Osimhen's replacement in the match, Noa Lang, suffered a serious cut to his right thumb but is not expected to undergo surgery. Osimhen has been a key player for Galatasaray, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in ten appearances.
