Osimhen, Lookman Dropped From Super Eagles Squad To Play Ghana, Russia (Full List)

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has dropped Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman from the squad to play in the Ghana Unity Cup and against Russia. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) released the list of invited players, including the return of goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, Frank Onyeka, and Kelechi Iheanacho.

The NPFL contingent comprises players like Junior Harrison Nduka, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, and Collins Ugwueze. Established names like Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, and Samuel Chukwueze will also compete for spots in the team.

The Unity Cup will take place from May 26-31, featuring Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Russia. Chelle aims to test new players and tactics ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
