Osimhen Faces Long Injury Layoff After Arm Fracture

Victor Osimhen, the 27-year-old striker for Galatasaray, risks being sidelined for three to five months due to a fractured right forearm. The injury occurred during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday, where he was brought down by Ibrahima Konate in the first half.

Following the incident, Osimhen did not play in the second half due to the risk of further injury. A statement from Galatasaray confirmed the fracture after examinations by the club's medical team.

The decision regarding whether Osimhen will undergo surgery will be made after further evaluation. Despite Galatasaray's exit from the Champions League, where they lost 4-1 on aggregate, Osimhen has been a key player this season, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 29 games.
