Victor Osimhen Returns to Nigeria After Injury Setback

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Galatasaray, returned to Nigeria following an injury sustained during a match at Anfield. He suffered a fractured right forearm after colliding with Ibrahima Konaté in the first half but continued to play until halftime.

After being taken off for medical evaluation, it was confirmed that he would need to wear a cast. Osimhen will wait for the swelling to subside before deciding if surgery is necessary, which could keep him out of action for around six weeks.

This injury is a significant setback for Galatasaray, as Osimhen will miss several crucial league matches, including games against Trabzonspor, Kocaelispor, and Gençlerbirliği, and faces a race against time to be fit for a major clash against Fenerbahçe on April 26. His absence is also felt at the international level, as he was not included in Nigeria's squad for upcoming friendly matches against Iran, Jordan, and Turkey.

Despite these challenges, Osimhen remains a key player for Galatasaray, having contributed directly to 26 goals this season, scoring 19 times and providing seven assists.
